The Holy Land Experience

From the website: "The Holy Land Experience is a living, biblical history museum that takes you 7,000 miles away and 3,000 years back in time to the land of the Bible. Its unique combination of sights, sounds, and tastes stimulate your senses and blend together to create a spectacular, new experience. But above all, beyond the fun and excitement, it is our sincere hope that you will see God and His Word exalted ñ that you will be encouraged in your search for enduring truth and the ultimate meaning of life. The Holy Land Experience is a Bible-believing, Christ-centered ministry."

It must be very difficult to be a satirist these days...
Above you see part of the menue of the "Oasis Cafe". Bon appetite!

Superheroes Part III

I really like Superheroes. As you all probably know, there is a famous online RPG called "City of Heroes", where you can act as a superhero. With superpowers or magic or costume or even secret identity. (Oops, I made that one up)
In a beautiful, beautiful gallery you can see the all the real heroes behind those impressing CG-graphics.
Can you guess which image is the screenshot?
Are you 100% sure. Yeah. Me too...

Your name
in hieroglyphs

This cartouche means "The In-Sect". Dissapointing somehow, isn't it? But maybe it impresses your friends...

The Celebrity Impersonators of Seattle

"There's nothing quite like the faux real feel of a celebrity at your bash! Rubbing elbows with the likes of "Elvis," "Marilyn," "Dolly" or "Mae," celebrity impersonators will be sure to add that extra pizzazz to your event."

The "faux real feel" - I know this from checking my banc-account.

St. Pierre, 1905

8th of May 1905 the volcanoe St. Peleé erupted. The inhabitants of St. Pierre died. All 26.000. Only Monsieur Cyparis survived, spending a night in jail because of boozing.
O.k., not a funny link to a website (in French!) showing photos of this catastrophe - but I cannot stop to wonder: Is this a lucky man?

What philosophy do YOU follow?

Recently I found a funny quiz at the Quizfarm. Check out who actually is your philosophical master. Maybe Satre, Platon, Palpatine or even Descartes, like Popeye?

The Zero-Tension-Mouse

Here you can see the next generation in mouse-ergonomy! The Zero-Tension-Mouse! Even if its usage seems to promise Orgasmotron-like side-effects, I'll stick to my heavy-metal macho mouse. Yo!

Montage-A-Google

"Montage-a-google is a simple web-based app that uses Google's image search to generate a large gridded montage of images based on keywords (search terms) entered by the user."

Try "God" or "Abstraction" with this little masterwork - it's surprising at least...

Abandoned Amusement Park Pix

...somewhere in Asia, I guess. I don't know where. I still refuse to download language packs for every country in the world, so I sometimes just see pages full of question marks. Who cares: I couldn't read it anyway and these images are a little spooky and melancholic, but so atmospheric!

Speaking of Dogs...

Do you like Hot Dogs? Yes? Then do NOT visit this website. It is not gross or disgusting, but seeing so many different Hot Dogs and people with lockjaw suffocating on dry buns...

"Do you have a four legged Einstein, or is your dog lovable because what he lacks in brains he makes up for in loyalty? Take this test to see where your best friend sits on the Smarts Chart."

Funny: You can sing the title of this book to the BeeGees song: "How Deep is Your Love!
