Who is the strangest superhero of the galaxy and all times? Is it Fatman, the Human Flying Saucer – the only superhero with three identities? Or Captain Carrot and the Amazing Zoo Crew?
No – I don’t think so. To me it will always be “Diaper Man”, the brain behind the famous “Mighty Heroes”. Strong Man, Cuckoo Man, Tornado Mann, Rope Man and the flying baby fought evildoers like The Shrinker and The Junker.
All of them are clumsy and accident prone and most of their screentime is spend with slapstick and apologies. Thank God there is the final deathtrap – villains just can’t resist those – which allows Diaper Man to save the day using his milk bottle as a weapon.
This saturday morning cartoon ran only one season in 1966 and was invented and directed by Ralph Bakshi of ‘Fritz, the Cat’-fame.
