Steven H. Weinberger teaches linguistics at the George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. He and his students collected – over seven years – accents all over the world. Click on the world map and hear how natives pronounce “three red bags”, “six spoons of fresh snow peas”, (Where in hell do you get these?) or “five thick slabs of blue cheese”.
And you thought linguist have no sense of humor!
Surprisingly the Scottish native speaker is clearly understandable. This contradicts my experiences in Scotland clearly.
